Saturday July 14, the Congressional Cemetery Movie Nights “Cinematery” features the 1941 classic The Maltese Falcon, starring film legend Humphrey Bogart. The screen continues Cinematery’s 2017 film noir theme that features dark and mysterious ‘whodunits’.

The cemetery allows guests to bring their own bottles and picnic dinners but asks that pets be left at home. Gates open at 7:30 pm and the movie begins around 8:30, or dusk. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the main gate. If interested in attending the movie, please RSVP on Facebook.

During July, you can expand the Cinematery experience by arriving early and taking part in the Cinematery Twilight Tour before the show. In addition to admission to the Cinematery movie, the ticket includes a one hour guided tour by an expert docent through Congressional Cemetary’s sprawling 35 acres. and a glass of wine or beer. The tour highlights the Cemetary’s quirky and little-mentioned spots. Tickets are $15 and registration in advance is required.
