Premium Position charges: 4-Color Centerspread – $400, Page 2, 3, 5 & Inside Back – $200. There is a 25% premium for guaranteed position for smaller ads. We reserve the right to reborder nonstandard camera-ready ads. The publisher reserves the right to approve all copy.
Payment Terms
Prepayment is required for all initial ad placements. Contract advertising will be billed net 10 days, provided credit has been established. No ad will be published if a previous invoice remains unpaid by press time. All ads under $200 must be paid with a credit card every month prior to publication.

An 8% discount is available for prepayment of the entire contract
(does not apply to premium pages).
Agency
Commission
A standard agency commission of 15% on camera-ready display advertising is paid to recognized agencies on gross rates for space only.
Discounts
• An 8% discount is available for prepayment of the entire contract (three month
minimum).
• A 10% discount on display advertising space at the open rate, to non-profit
organizations.
• A 20% discount applies to advertising in all three papers.
• A 10% discount applies to advertising in two papers.
Classified Ad Rates
Line classifieds: $25 for the first 15 words, 25¢ for each additional word. The bold heading (25 characters max) is free. Deadline for line classifieds is the 10th of the month (unless heading is sales or rentals) and prepayment by check or credit card is required.
Box classifieds: Box Classifieds are $50 for a 2"x2" box (minimum size). Larger ads are billed in increments of 1/2". Thus a 2 1/2" box ad is $65, 3" is $75, etc. Box classifieds are billed quarterly and prepayment is required. Deadline for box classifieds is the 10th of the month.

Ad Design Charges
One hour of ad design/production time is provided free of charge. One proof is provided and the advertiser has 24 hours to make one revision. If the advertiser does not send their revision, then CCN has the right to publish the ad. Any additional changes to the ad will be billed at $60/hr. Four-color process ads will receive and additional $50 charge.
Premium Positions
Premium positions for full-page ads, when available, are guaranteed
at a non-commissionable premium. 4-Color Centerspread- $400;
Back Page - $700; Page 2, 3, Page 5, Inside Back - $200. There
is a 25% premium for guaranteed position for smaller ads.
Deadline
The Hill Rag is published monthly, 12 times a year on the first of the month. The deadline to reserve advertising space and submit editorial is the 15th of the month prior to publication. A Rush Charge of $50 will be charged for ads submitted after the 15th deadline. Cancellations of advertising cannot be accepted after the 20th prior at 5 pm. Advertisers will be held responsible for space reserved.

Classified Advertising
Rates
Line Classifieds:
$25 for the first 15 words, $25 cents for each additional
word. The bold heading (25 characters max) is free. Deadline
for ad and prepayment by check or credit card is the 10th
of the month.
Box Classifieds:
These ads are $50 for a 2"x2" box. Larger ads are
billed in increments of 1/2". Thus a 2 1/2"
box ad is $65, 3" is $75, etc. No frequency
discount is available for classified ads. Box Classifieds
are sold in quarterly increments. In other words, a minimum
of three ads must be purchased at a time.
Billing Policy:
All Classified ads are billed quarterly, 15 days prior to the first
of the quarter. The only exception are single placement line classifieds.

Charges

Materials
On Disc or Via E-mail
All ad files should be submitted on disc with hard copy or e-mailed
in TIFF, EPS, PDF, and JPEG (for photos) format.
We use QuarkXPress 7, and Adobe CS 2 (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...).

Errors &
Omissions
If an error is made we will either publish a "make good"
in the next issue at no charge or provide credit, whichever is
appropriate. No credits or adjustments will be made, however,
if the error does not materially affect the meaning or utility of
the ad.
